Guest guest
I remember reading somewhere that Vitamin A Palmitate is to be avoided. I just realized that we have been giving our son DariFree for about a year and it contains Vitamin A Palmitate. Can someone refresh my memory about why Vitamin A Palmitate is to be avoided? Also, if we need to stop using DariFree can someone suggest an alternative that is GFCF and soy and corn free? Thanks, ---------------------------------
Guest guest
One of the doctors theorizes, and is attempting to prove, that autistic children can't process or absorb Vit. A in palminate form. It's not bad, it's just useless. I think that all Vit. enriched items use the palminate form. I know formula does. Cod liver oil is supposedly the pure form that can be used. I did see improvements in my son when I added lecithin to his diet because it's supposed to help with the absorption of fat soluble vitamins, of which vit. A is one. However, we have switched to Cod Liver Oil now. Yuck! I can't believe he takes it but he does. Maureen
