Just an update-he is completely regressed, losing

bladder control-attacking staff. I am so sad- no new

infractions. Hoow long do I have to wait scince the

last infraction. It was a teaspoon of confectioner

sugar sunday night and what ever the dental assistant

put in his mouth while cleaning his teath on thursday.

The school suspended him, he told me he wanted the aid

watching him in the planning room(restraint room) to

read to him as I advised him to ask them to do- when

the staff said no- he started kicking him. I talked

to three different city/program supervisors today-for

hours-the program director for 1 1/2 hours until 6:30-

he was very open to understanding the whole diet thing

what causes regressions and they'll be ordering the

functional behavior assesement at his IEP in two

weeks- at this point I think we have to go back to

half days until we can get through this --he's like

maybe 4 or 5 emotionally and cant handle the stress-

how confusing for the teachers who have only know this

incredibly on target almost cured child for a year-

they are and I am just speechless. Ok, so I don't

appear to be speachless. The supervisor-who is very

caring and gentle in nature- tackfully asked if there

were any medical interventions we could pursue- I

shared with him what the head of pediatrics shared

last week and how incredibly lucky we were that the

diet worked. After listening to me and about Jays

sensory dysfucntional history, he began to get a

better understanding of this regression- it used to be

our 24/7 life-he seem open to all my suggestions and

seemed to greatly appreciate the mircle of who Jay had

been this year. I asked that when Jay returns on

monday- that he encourage the teacher to shy away from

reading writting activites-but focus on clay-like

sculpturing art activities that taught the lessons.

He's still like age level w/hands on and listening to

stories. The brilliant boy we all know is in there

and needs all the intellectual food we can feed him

through the filter of the opiates and what ever else

is scrambling up there. He his suspended tomorrow.

Ok well bye for now -
