Guest guest
O.K. here goes Don't know what your son enjoys or what frightens him so I'll just list a bunch and maybe one or two will work.. playing with a balloon - the mylar ones last a long time or just the ones you blow up and bat around bowling pins - if you have a set these are always a hit, if not use empty plastic bottles or boxes or blocks bubbles if you have a place indoors that you can mop the sticky stuff up, I have heard of some people letting their kids use them in the bathtub finger-painting with any material he can use - edible or not - if you're brave enough for the mess (I usually make this an outdoor activity only!) build a fort with blankets and card tables, pillows and rope, whatever -- a flashlight or light up toy or glow in the dark toy is always fun in here if you have a kitchen or basement floor that's tile you can use sidewalk chalk and play hopscotch or marbles or tic tac toe using whatever sets of things you can find along these same lines chalk a roadway on the floor and let him drive his favorite cars and trucks along it, you could change this to anything that interests your son - use plastic animals and draw a zoo or plastic fish and make an ocean, etc. if your son has someone who can play along with him try a snowball fight with wadded up waste paper (mine has no aim to speak of but loves to throw!) anything with water is big hit with my son -- I put down a flannel backed plastic tablecloth (soft side up) and add 2 old bath towels on top and then I give him two large containers and lots of stuff to scoop and pour and he has a merry time big empty boxes are also a big hit - my sons can spend hours with these another big hit is a plastic marble maze - my sons can spend lots of quality time figuring out how to put the maze together and sending marbles down when it's done. if you don't own one you could make one with empty wrapping paper tubes and paper towel tubes and small boxes my son also has a fascination with buttons - a big box and containers to drop them into works to hold his attention Hope these are helpful...
