The CDC no longer recommends oral polio and several years ago asked

doctors to phase this out.

They do the injectable polio or what is known as the Salk polio. I don't

know if it contains thermisol. The oral polio was a live virus and you could

get polio from it. it was preferred because it also vaccinated, through the

air and such, non vaccinated people. Of course a non vaccinated person could

get polio form a person who got the oral polio vaccination. The shot is a

dead virus and can't give anyone polio. But, if it has thermisol, who know?
