Guest guest
Hi Laurie and all, I have had a similar experience with Graham, who is 6 and dx is probable Asperger's syndrome. He has done very well on the diet, with a minimum of cravings and complaining. At first, he had a couple of upsets about no candy and no bread, but ever since then he is great. He tells his teachers and therapists, as well as my parents, my sister and all who come in contact with him what he can and can't eat. He impresses everyone by how well he seems to understand what he is allowed to have. The only thing I really told him was not to eat anything without checking with me first. He took this totally to heart (little aspie that he is, smile) and is really great about it. I haven't seen huge changes in him, but the little improvements seem to add up. The greatest thing is he is eating healthier and has gained around 4 lbs since starting the diet, which for him is AMAZING, since he has always been so skinny. So, I feel great about him being on the diet and I tell everyone about it. I thank all of you for your knowledge and encouragement...especially you, , who really encouraged me in the beginning to try the diet. Fondly, J--mom to Graham(6 yrs, probable Asperger's syndrome) and Hayley (10 yrs, mild ADD)
