Guest guest
If you are talking about Rochester,MN, we had our son operated there. The hospital is great. The pediatric neurosurgeon, Dr. Raffel is pleasant and well respected. Unfortunately, my son had complication including paralysis of a few muscles to his shoulder due to nerve damage and formation of a pseudomeningocele due to CSF fluid leakage. Dr. Raffel uses an absorbable material for his dural graft. He is comfortable with it ,but in hindsite I would have chosen a surgeon who uses a biologic material from the patient .Most surgeons who I have spoken with since are strongly against the material(vicryl) he uses.
