Guest guest
Do amy parents out there have a child that also has tibial torsion (curving in of the top leg bone in the calf) in addition to their clubfoot? I have been told that I can naturally expect a little turning in of the foot due to the curve in of her leg bone (which is fairly pronounced when she is standing). Kelsey's foot does intoe slightly but her foot is flat on the floor as it should be. Has anyone else had experience with this as well? ALL of this talk about relapse is scaring me to death. Also, has anyone with a unilateral clubfoot case experienced any problems with the non CF foot due to the DBB? Kelsey's non CF foot appears to me to be starting to toe out when she is standing. We have begun having A LOT of problems getting her to sleep all night because of the DBB. The fit is still the same as it was when she got it but she is uncomfortable and will not sleep more than 3 or 4 hours once we can even get her to go to sleep. This is coming from a child who prior to the DBB had no sleeping issues at all. She has no problems with the bar at all during the day. Life was so much easier when she was in the casts. I absolutely HATE this stupid DBB And the prospect of 3 more years dealing with it makes me want to cry. I know Kelsey would fell the same. Anyway, thanks for the answers.
