I would not do the varicella at 12 months. I am postponing my children's

varicella, IF they get it, to age 5-6. I would postpone getting ONLY a

measles vaccine until 18 months. Dr Wakefield recommends a seperate measles

at 18 months, mumps at age 3 and rubella at age 4. So, at 15 months I might

only get her the Hib shot.

I suggest you tell them you are not 'fitting in' the DTaP, Hib and Polio all

in one day. Seperate them out. I would sit down with them, tell them what

you will and will not do and then plan your child's vaccination schedule. I

did this with both my children (1 PDD, 1 NT) and now the doctor and I both

know whats coming (and going) and what my rules for the game we call

'immunization' are.

Hi Bob,

Yes, you are right, Wakefield suggests NOT giving the MMR at all. But he

does suggest, and states in an interview, that he would suggest the protocol

of measles at 15 months, mumps at 3 years and rubella at 4 years. It's just

his thinking and I am sure he would agree with the DAN 2000 Vaccine

Guidelines.

FEAT featured Wakefield saying this in an interview. It was titled 'The MMR

Warrior' and featured in the January 20th FEAT news letter. I am trying to

find the whole article so I can post to the list, all I did was cut and

paste the paragraph about Wakefield saying what he thinks about spacing the

shots.
