My son's doctor actually told me that soy resembles a casein reaction. Don't

know about molecular level but he did say a similar casein reaction.

Hi everyone,

Just thoughts here but:

Many people have done a peptide test a second time and found that when

substituting with soy, it may have raised the gluten peptides because

molecularly they are so similar. So soy may be an issue. Many of us,

including my self have noticed that are children are affected by yellow corn but

not white corn. My son shows gluten rxn by night waking in tummy pain and gas

etc. He has done this twice now with YELLOW CORN. All allergy tests show he

has NO allergies to corn. I am wondering if yellow corn is also molecularly

similar to gluten--gets thru gut wall and creates same effects. Something to

think about.....and please dont hit me if you dont want to hear this.... :)

You mean we got animal feed in our food supply?--probably full of chemicals.

Well that would be pretty gross. Especially if you heard that 20/20 report

on mad cow disease--the stuff they were feeding those cows. Speaking of

which, I think the beef industry would fail to tell us things, like the

pharmaceutical companies have done. We are now staying away from beef. No

offense to any of you if you are in the industry but I am starting to trust

less of what I am being told and paying more attention to what is actually

happening.

Hi :

I can't grab a website to document this at the moment, but I recall

reading that soy resembles gluten and corn resembles casein (on a

molecular level). So the kids can react to these foods because of

opioids, not just because of allergies or IgG responses. Thus the

negative allergy test results despite an obvious reaction.

I think I found this information either at the U of Sunderland

website or in the writings of Dr. Reichelt.

For this reason, I try to keep up a varied menu so that I don't

overload my child on either soy or corn products and theoretically

increase the chance of these foods leading to major problems.
