Guest guest
My 4 year old needs to have a spinal MRI to rule out a tethered spinal cord; he has toe walked for almost a year and in the last month has begun an exaggerated scissor-like step walk. (No one knows if this is a GFG reaction or what) The hair analysis test shows his body is filled with a variety of heavy metals that we have yet to begin to work on. I have been working with a holistic doctor and have not been to a DAN Dr. Today I made an appointment with a DAN Dr. but we won't meet until March 7. My question is this: Does anyone know how disruptive the MRI magnets are to the toxic metals inside the body? I called the radiologist. He had no answer other than, they are only concerned about metal fragments, staples, etc. and if he doesn't have any of those it should cause no harm. He knew of no MRI studies that have been done concerning free roaming metals. All in all he was not very helpful and I'm not sure he knew anything. I only began to worry when I read an email awhile back about being careful about chelating metals because one didn't want to cause more harm than good by disrupting them. Anyone else ever face this concern? Sharon in Virginia
