Guest guest
We started our treatment with Dr. . It was afer 15 casts that we sought treatment elsewhere. My son is a difficult case but I would urge you to seek treatment elsewhere. We went to Dr. because he was the only pediatric ortho docotor on my insurance. I wish we had researched more and found a doctor on the Ponseti list. We now travel to land to see Dr. Herzenberg. I feel as though my son's feet may have worsened under the care of Dr. and that we wasted so much time seeing so little progress. 15 casts!!! Many of them slipping off only a day after they were applied! We saw a noticable difference in how the casts were applied and saw amazing progress after making the switch. I am not one to bad mouth anyone but I feel as though Dr. is NOT practicing the method correctly and had I stayed with him my son would have needed surgery. There are very qualified doctors in NYC on the Ponseti list but we chose to go to Dr. Herzenberg because my son was 5 1/2 months old already and from what I had read Dr. H was an expert at correcting bad treatment. Are you on Long Island? Please call me if you want to talk about this more . Tommy Lee 4/23/04 . > > My son was born with his right foot clubbed.
