If I haven't told you before, you have been in my thoughts and prayers. I had a

small mass in my right lung about ten years ago and they first did a needle

biopsy (due to my history with cancer and then I underwent radiation therapy

when more or less " dried it up " but I still have to have chest x-rays every six

months and a CT with contrast yearly just to make sure it doesn't start doing

something again. I have a yearly MRI with contrast to make sure that my brain

tumors that were treated by Gamma Knife are staying dormant. I really think

that one of these days I will start to glow in the dark (ha). Just hang in

there, I fully realize that is really hard to do but I am sure God that is

looking out for you. Dolores

support at this time i really

need it, and all the well wishes too. Thank you also for the input

on high resolution, brought that up to my doc and he said yes that

would be a good idea. We will be doing that with contrast, and

they believe this cat scan will tell them what they need to know.

Hopefully i wont need a pet scan after the cat scan. But doc did

inform me that i will need alot of other testing after cat scan.

Either way this mass has to go, it is small, but blocking air flow

in lungs. Of course nothing is happening fast enough for me, i wish

this was all done and over with. Also he doesnt want the pulmo he

sent me to, to deal with this problem. He said the pulmo can deal

with my asthma and allergy issues, but we will look for a surgeon

who is qualified to handle this. Boy when it rains it pours. My

husband has calmed down alot, but my older two children are still

freaked out over this. I had a good cry and will probably have

more, but for the most part i feel very calm, and actually very

confident about this. (unusual, im usually a worry wart about

things like this.) Doc says he will call me by Tuesday with results,

so i will let ya all know then whats going on. Hopefully i will

remain calm when i find out. Thanks again you are all so

wonderful!! Hugs, Barb

Dolores, thank you for sharing that info with me, i also had cancer

when i was 28 years old, in my right breast, and now the mass in lung

is under my right breast. ( i had a lumpectomy and radiation for the

breast cancer). Hearing that you had a needle biopsy and radiation

for your lung cancer makes this less scarier for me. My doc did say

that one option if this is cancer would be biopsy first. Im just

praying, even thought the docs are thinking cancer, that the cat scan

will prove them wrong. Did you have mito when you had the lung

cancer? I believe i had mito since childhood but very mild then. I

really think my mito kicked in full force when i was 35, and Im

wondering how mito will effect this situation. Thanks for the

prayers. And i will keep ya posted. Hugs, Barb
