Guest guest
Have any of you who have Dr. Dobbs new brace and shoes experienced slipping or your baby getting out of the shoes? Sammy quickly adjusted to the new brace and new style shoes -- no sores at all, no pressure on his still healing sores either; but he also quickly learned that if he holds one leg still and braces it against the floor (or whatever he is laying on) that he can kick the other leg HARD and gradually slide his foot out of the shoe. It's actually pretty funny to watch. I spoke to Dr. Dobbs and the orthotics guy today and they said as far as they know, no one has had this problem with the new shoes because of the insert which is molded to the shape of the baby's foot. I guess Sammy is just really flexible. Anyway, they are going to try to modify the straps to hold his foot better but I just wondered if anyone had any suggestions (we've tried the socks w/ rubber grippers e.g. Old Navy). Oh and p.s. I forgot to take pictures of his brace this weekend but I will still try to get some good ones to put on the CFPics site. Thanks,
