Guest guest
Hello, I'm just new to the list, but not to the concept of GFCF. My older brother is extremely celiac, I am mild. Thanks to his experience, I am able to go gluten free before I get as sick as he did. I was able to cook GFCF last February. Not having the intestine discomfort was okay, but finding out the hard way that milk and gluten aggravated my panic attacks and my bi-polar moods was an eye opener! It is easy to have a cookie or a cup cake when the immediate result is being uncomfortable, but going berserk isn't fun. It has not been hard to say no thank you! I also lost 30 pounds in 5 months. I have platuead now, and will probably have to get rid of the next 20 the hard way. My 22 year old son is autistic with seizures. We discovered the hard way that food dyes mess him up. Now we are working on changing his diet to GFCF. My 18 year old son is definitely affected by milk. He has bi-polar, anxiety, and seizures. We have a list of interventions and such to improve his health, and being totally milk free and gluten free is on the list. I also have a 13 year old son, who is just starting to find his difficulties. He knows he needs to balance the gluten. And the 18 year old is married to a 19 year old ADD. Her brother is ADD, and her father and other brother should be diagnosed as autistic. Her family has corn and milk problems, and she has a citric acid problem. And the baby is due at the end of March! Guess what we will be feeding him! So I have a question for you. I just finished reading alwaysaway's post about Gerber's list of GFCF foods. We plan to make our own baby food, but were going to have some store baby food on hand, along with soy formula. So, alwaysaway, would you either post the list to the group, or send me a copy? We would appreciate it very much. Thank you,
