Guest guest
has already had a reaction to bananas in the past, but today he was given strawberries and had the bright red ears and splotchy redness over his face. Do I need to eliminate all fruits or is it just certain ones that can cause a reaction? I know bananas are high in phenols and I do believe that's why he is reacting to it that way, but what about strawberries? Are they high in phenols too? Are there any fruits he can eat that are not high in phenols? He loves fruit as an alternative to candy and junk treats. Please let me know if there is at least one fruit that is not high in phenol. Thanks
Guest guest
I believe the following fruits are okay according to Feingold: This is not a complete list, but will get you started. Youmaty also want to try Epsom Slat baths to help your child process the phenols they do eat. Canned (not fresh) pineapple Kiwi Papaya Persimmon Kumquat Watermelon Cantelope Honeydew Pears Pomegranates
