Guest guest
I am a firm believer in the saline spray. My daughter usually had a runny nose and cold from about October until June. This was really hard on her especially when she had speech therapy and they were doing oral motor therapy. It was hard to do anything with a stopped up nose. Plus with a runny nose eventually came some sort of infection. Her speech therapist suggested the saline spray and since we started to use it she rarely gets sick anymore. Most of the time she does it is because I start to back off of the spray. Not because of any reason other than being to busy. Plus I usually have to bribe her some way to do it every night. But as I say it has been a blessing for us.
Guest guest
Our kids were on so many different antibiotics their first two years that the dr. had to keep a rotation going. I really disliked it. Finally, my wonderful f-i-l, a physician, told me to get " Ocean, " a saltwater nasal spray. There is a milder version for kids. He said to use it 4-6 times a day when the kids were congested, especially before eating, before bedtime & upon waking. We've had about two prescriptions for antibiotics in the last three years as a result. (A whiny aside, why do so many doctors fail to mention the easiest, most common sense things!?)
