The reason why pediatricians react poorly to herbal remedies is that

depending on who you get them from they can vary widely in potency. Also,

many times studies are done only with adults, and the effects are unknown in

children.

My son's been on an ssri drug for two years. The first one we used didn't

work well, made him hyper. I'd talk with the doctor about options. Maybe

there is one that doesn't have the side effects that bother her now?
