Guest guest
Anyone using St. s' Wort for children aged 10ish? My daughter was on Trazedone for depression but she begged me to take her off...hated the side effects. She's not on anything right now. I would like to try SJW, but her Ped jumped through the phone at me " warning " me not to do this. I switched off my Zoloft to SJW. It seems to be working. I know a Ped nurse and she gave the doseage for children. But I would feel better just knowing that other parents have their children on this before administering to . I know it's not uncommon for med. drs. to freak over herbal supplements...but when I asked my doc, she was supportive and said go for it. Why would my daughter's ped react like that? Also, what is the correct dose of melatonin for a child? I was going to start on this, then the pharmacist said he would never recommend this...might do " weird stuff in the brain..who knows? " . But I am desperate! I need it and she needs it. Thanks, G.
Guest guest
We don't use SJW - didn't work for us - but many listmates do, so I hope you hear from them. I want to mention TMG, which is the precursor for SAMe and has been found to be relieve depression & anxiety. My son (10) has 2 teaspoons/day. An adult friend with chronic depression uses 2 tablespoons/day. If you plug TMG and SAMe into a search engine, you can find a lot of info and dosing info. > Anyone using St. s' Wort for children aged 10ish?
