It take some adjusting to and learning how to move her legs together, etc. She will figure it out, with your help of course. Kori's tips that are on the previous post are great. Make sure those puppies are on tight. You want to avoid rubbing and blisters at all costs. Her leg may be senstive after her last cast too, you are right. You did the right thing by giving each of you a few minutes on your own. You will get through this adjustment stage! Go through Kori's list of tips and come back with any questions!
