Hi all:

Sorry, I am confused on the term " probiotic " . Is acidophilus plus a

probiotic? I ordered this from Kirkman's and want to start this with Ebony,

but should I use it with something else? People keep talking about

ProbioGold and different " probiotics " and the terms are getting me all

confused. What is a probiotic as compared to the acidophilus?

Thanks for the info!!

Tamara, mom to Ebony-3 yrs old, autistic

Hi Tamara, acidophilus plus is one of the probiotics, like blue is one of

the colors. You don't have to use the acidophilus with anything else. (If

on antibiotics, wait 2 hours after the last dose, as antibiotics will kill

**all** bacteria, including the friendly probiotics!) If your child is under

5, I also recommend bifidus. I hope this helps clear up the confusion for

you!

I'm also confused about acidophilus and bifidus. Are the kinds found at my

local HFS just as good as the ones bought online via Kirkman's? How do I

find a proper dosage for my 40-lb. 4-year-old?

Thanks,
