Guest guest
Sorry I do not have any answers for your medical part of your posting.. I am going through the same questions my self.. But as far as he snacks.. I think I have those down packed for NOW.. Snacks were hard for us to implement too. This is what my son loves.. I give him any his CEREAL DRY (the Amazon Crunch cereals) as snacks. I pack them in the zip lock bags when we go out.. Nice and crunchy.. There are several flavors, I do not know what you son can tolerate.. My son loved the Corn Flakes.. But at the moment we are not able to give him corn.. He also loves the New Morning Cocoa Rice crispies as a snack. You can make your own rice crispy snacks with honey (the receipe is on the box of that cereal) He also loves the Cool Fruits Fruit snacks (fruit roll up/gummi alternative for us) There are many pre made cookie mixes if you are not a great baker.. I know I AM NOT.. and LOVE when I find things that are already made.. Just check the ingredients to make sure he could have the things listed. As well as pre made breads (again, check the lables..) I cannot make a loaf a bread if my life depended on it.. REALLY because I cant put ANYTHING in my sons food, not even yeast/salt/egg/corn..GFCF.. I mean how the heck do you make bread without this stuff? So ENergy Breads help out alot since they have yeast free salt free ready made breads.. OH! And when he could eat the VANS GFCF Waffles..he LOVED those.. I think it is MORE visual than anything to them.. My son would refuse foods and he wouldnt even TRY them ..just by looking at them he turned his nose up.. But when you promote a bit of HUNGER (if he refuses to eat the foods.. that YOU KNOW by YOU taste testing he WOULD LIKE IT IF HE JUST TRIED IT.. Just take the foods away, and try again a little later..) Do not give in .. as he will learn, that once he refuses he will make a fit the second time around to get you back in the kitchen whipping up something " he might eat.. " I know I learned the hard way.. when I spent the 1st week, like a mad woman figuring out what he would eat..I had pots, pans, flour EVERY WHERE.. I was a wreck.. OH! He also like small silver dollar pancakes as an alternative too.. Hope this helps Re: Message: 10 Date: Fri, 09 Feb 2001 03:07:35 -0000 From: cammiercater@... Subject: Lots more questions 4. I need more ideas for snack food. He does not like much of anything I give him. Fruit is not a favorite, I cant make any decent bread, and he has an adversion to even the smell of peanut butter or nuts. He eats small amount of chips, and popcorn. Everytime I find something I think he will eat, it ends up being a no no. Please, I am desperate and I dont have a clue. Cammie cammiercater@...
