Guest guest
My husband and I have been trying to conceive. Last week an amalgam filling fell out. It was huge. I thought, great, one less mercury filling to worry about. I went to the dentist today, told him I might be pregnant and I did not want an amalgam filling. So far so good. Well the dentist filled my tooth with a non-mercury filling and then told me half the old filling was still in my tooth and that he drilled it out (no mouth dam was used). Now I'm in a panic and have 2 questions. 1. What should I do if I am pregnant (I'm really hoping I'm not); what kind of harm would this cause a fetus? 2. If I'm not, how long should I wait to try to conceive? Please, any info appreciated.
