Guest guest
Lea, Right now I am paying out of pocket for my Q-gel. My mom got me my first supply of 180 which will only last about a month. Mom got a discount for it because they asked why it was being bought and she told them MITO so they gave her a discount. It was about a $25 discount. I called an appeal to Medicaid to try to get it covered, but they never called me back. So I emailed my local state representative and told him about what I am going through and the costs for things. That was on Tuesday evening, and I got a phone this afternoon call from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services saying they got a call from Rep. DeWine's office and they also got a copy of the letter I sent him and the lady told me I should be hearing from someone on the Appeal Board in about 3 to 5 days. Lea leafish@...> wrote: Thanks , So that would be 900 mg of Q-Gel? Wow! That's a lot...especially since it is so expensive. Where do you buy yours? Someone told me that Swanson had a good price, but at the that level it still must cost a lot. Has anyone had experience with insurance paying for it? Lea Re: Q-gel Lea, I am taking Q-Gel 300 mg 3 times a day and I can tell a difference in me. I haven't taken any other kinds of CoQ10 so I can't tell what the other stuff does. I just know that since I have started taking the Q-Gel, I am not getting as tired doing anything during the day as I was. Unless of course I do any kind of physical activity and then my body turns to mush lol. I do know that some people the CoQ10 works and others it doesn't. From what my cousin says (her son has mito) she says that the Q-gel is better because the body absorbs it better. That is what the big hype is about with Q-Gel versus other Co-Q10 products. Sorry I couldn't help you more. Lea leafish@...> wrote: Hi everyone, I was reading one of the posts and noticed that someone mentioned Q-Gel. I have tried it once before and didn't notice a difference in anything. I am now back on 200 mg of regular CoQ-10. Does anyone think the Q-Gel works better than the regular CoQ-10 and are there any disadvantages to it? Thanks, Lea

Guest guest
Hi , Good luck with getting medicaid to cover it. I have Blue Cross thru my husband and am currently trying to get disability. Maybe if I get the disability I can get Medicare to cover it. I haven't tried to get Blue Cross to do so yet. Thanks, Lea Re: Q-gel Lea, I am taking Q-Gel 300 mg 3 times a day and I can tell a difference in me. I haven't taken any other kinds of CoQ10 so I can't tell what the other stuff does. Guest guest
Lea You might want to try Blue Cross as they have approved payment in several states. I think you might have better luck that way. Some insurance companies have approved one form (chewable, liquid, etc.) and not other forms. laurie > > Reply-To: > Date: Thu, 6 Jan 2005 18:44:46 -0500 > To: > > Subject: Re: Q-gel/LEA > > Hi , > > Good luck with getting medicaid to cover it. Guest guest
Good going. I hope this means some coverage for you. I dread it when I have to switch to retirement insurance as I will have to start from the ground floor again and fight all the battles again. laurie > > Reply-To: > Date: Thu, 6 Jan 2005 15:03:55 -0800 (PST) > To: > Subject: Re: Q-gel/LEA > > Lea, > > Right now I am paying out of pocket for my Q-gel.
