dealing with the schools

My son is on the GFCF diet, plus no corn or soy. How do you all approach the

school? I attribute the improvements in my son's behavior and attending

sills since December to the hard work being done at school but also to the

diet.

I must say that implementing the diet was not as difficult as I had

anticipated. The most difficult part for me has been school. Apparently no

" allowed " edible at school is serving as reinforcement and they feel that

the gummy candy that they used to give him for good behavior during group

activites and for walking quietly really helped them, and they have reminded

me a few times that an alternative is needed. I am trying... But what if I

do not find anything. As someone else posted, not everything can be

replaced. Sometimes you need to forget about it and move on...

ANY ADVICE on what to say?

Obviously they do not really believe that the diet is helping. But my

husband and I are convinced that the decrease (almost disappearance) in the

silly, drunken behavior we often saw in the afternoons and weekends, as well

as the major decrease in tantrumming is largely a result of diet changes...

But I highly appreciate the people working with my son at school too...

Any advice is welcome, la
