Hi all:

Another question about the skin prick tests that they did yesterday on

Ebony. During the evening yesterday, she kept coughing, which I thought odd

because she has actually been really clear lately. Last night, she fell

asleep about a half hour early. I put her in her bed at 8:30. By 11:30,

she was at her door screaming/crying. She hugged me really tight when I got

her...we lock her door so she isn't able to leave the room or the house. I

brought her into bed with me and usually that will make her sleep all night,

no problem. Well, she was so restless, she seemed almost crampy. She would

cry out and bury herself into me almost every hour. She also ground her

teeth sooo bad. That is one thing that to me is worse than nails on a

chalkboard. Do you think that these things were a physical reaction to the

testing...they tested soy, peanuts, wheat, milk, eggs, and fish? Or were

they a reflection of the anxiety that they caused...ie nightmares about the

actual scratching they did? Let me know if anyone out there has seen

anything similar, and if so how long should I expect her to do this.

BTW...she seemed fine today. Nothing out of the ordinary behavior wise.

Thanks

Tamara, mom to Ebony-3 yrs old, autistic
