Guest guest
Hi , I really think that the gluten takes much longer than six weks to get completely out of the system, and there are ups and downs as it leaves. My daughter didn't have dramatic improvement in the first few months on the diet but a year later she is so much more aware and connected. We did IgG testing (food allergies ELISA blood test ) about four months after we started the diet. She tested allergic to quite a few foods, which I either removed or rotated. Although she only tested +1 for soy, I noticed about seven months into the diet that she was getting a lot more soy than she used to, and her behavior was worsening. So I took soy out, and it made a big difference. I also am really careful now about shampoos, soaps, separate toasters - the things I didn't pay as much attention to in the beginning. I just had tested for yeast, and she is in the severe range. So I will start treating that pretty soon, but not with Nystatin, because her test showed that her particular strain of yeast was resistant to that. She's been on Spectrum Support since month three and I think this has helped a lot too. Good luck. Kathy
