Guest guest
Has anyone had a blood test to see if your child has adequate immunities to diptheria and tetanus? Pennsylvania requires a diptheria and tetanus shot after the age of 4(not pertusis for some reason). My son is 5 and starting preschool in September. The doctor said he couldn't check blood for diptheria or tetanus antibodies. He's already had 4 DPT shots(before I became educated), and I don't want to give him a 5th. We had a measles titer, and he is immune to measles from the first MMR. My next option is a religious exemption. I'd like to avoid that though. I am a bad liar, and my son hasn't set foot in a church since the day he was born.
