Guest guest
Hi all - someone I know believes that it is not possible for there to be a link between the MMR and autism (gggrrrrr). She is a nurse and is looking for studies. Does anyone have any links they can post that I can pass on? Unfortunately it's the studies that tend to get attention from the masses....educate, educate, educate, I say! Thanks -
Guest guest
I don't have any info on the studies to pass on but I do have a horrible story to tell everyone. My blacksmith is the most punctual person I have ever worked with. If he says he is going to be here at 2, he is here. Two weeks ago he had made an appointment with a friend and never showed. He didn't call or anything. When she finally got in touch with his answering machine the machine said that he had a family emergency and would contact everyone when he got back in town. Yesterday, he trimmed her horses feet and he told her that his sister's 18 month old baby had died as a result of the MMR vaccine. The baby had been sickly her entire life but nothing life threatening. His sister took the baby to get her MMR and the baby began to cry immediately. She became very fussy but the sister just contributed it to a simple reaction -- nothing to worry about. Later in the day the baby quieted and fell asleep. She was put in her crib and when the mother went to check her a couple of hours later the baby was dead. The doctor said it was a reaction to the shot and she had died from a brain hemorrhage. Don't let anyone say these shots are safe.
Guest guest
I am sure you will get lots of responses on the gut thing, but thiis is a fascinating snip on a different autoimmune link with MMR. http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/health/newsid_1181000/1181913.stm
