Guest guest
We are taking Austin in to a nuerologist (he's never seen one) because his SLT and the psychologist that did the recent re-evaluation suggested that he may be having petit mal seizures. My father has epilepsy so I am a bit concerned. I have seen this subject come up on the list in the past but have skimmed over them because until now, it hasn't been an issue. When Austin was 18 months he had an episode that was called 'apnea.' He fell of the couch and by the time I got to him he was blue around the lips and his eyes were rolled back into his head. We took him (by ambulance) to the hospital and where they did a cat scan -- that was normal. Could this have been a seizure? Are seizures common with ASD?? When we see the doctor -- are there any questions I should be asking?? Mom to Austin (recovered from PDD) and (NT) 4.11 year old twins Michigan
