Guest guest
Celiac is not totally a genetic disease. The suspect gene or gene-combination is found in 25-30% of the world's population, who presumably show no sign of celiac disease. Also, about 5% of diagnosed celiacs do not have these gene markers. And many people who do not have the gene markers are not fully tested for celiac disease. So environmental factors are significant, and especially those factors related to the intestinal tract such as diet, candida, bacteria, viruses and parasites. Incidentally, I have seen very few references to parasites, and I find this a severe oversight as a compromised intestine [ and I feel this to be a major factor in autism ] is a breeding ground for worms and protozoa, etc. Those that do research, please do not overlook this subject.
