HI!

Sorry I've been a miss in not returning sooner to let you know how I'm

doing. Malisa gave a great synopsis. The partial colectomy was a failure and I'm

no better than I was before the sugery if not worse off now. I'm facing another

major surgery to remove the remaining colon and reattach the small bowel to

the rectum. Since the surgery I've been unable to get my surgeon to return my

calls. I'm not sure if it's the secretary or actually him causing the prob.

so today my local PCP is going to call for me and see what is going on and

ask the surgeon to please call me. I have an appt to see my surgeon again on

Feb. 28th and a tentative surgery date of March 1st. What a birthday present.

I'm not happy about having to wait that long as I'm feeling so miserable now.

No reccomendations have been made as to what I'm to do until then. Also I

have many questions and concerns that I would like addressed ahead of time, not

the day before the surgery. I just don't feel comfortable with how things are

going now. I have an appt at Cincy Children's for March 21st to see a Ped's

GI Motility Specialist. I've heard excellent things about him and it would be

alot closer for me to travel there as well. I just don't know if I

should/can wait that long to do something. I'm already heavily back on the

laxatives

and losing weight again. I've asked for a cancellation but the doc. is out of

the office until into March so there aren't real good chances of that. I

think the definitive answer will be after I have spoken with my surgeon in

Cleveland and have a better idea of what he is thinking and if he is willing to

address my concerns now.
