mitoldies: neurology appts update

I went for my neurology appt. yesterday.......

He said he spoke to the cardiologist last night and that I have a long QT

sydrome..(cardio failed to mention that part) he also agred taht I need to

start coumadin. But another thing was that at the neuro appt I asked him if I

could have my drivers license back yet and he said no as my reflexes are so

spastic he felt it wasnt safe to drive yet. He said my reflexes are a 5. I

apparently have clonus what ever that is. I failed the romberg test and the

hoffman and pronator drift. My hands have gotten extrememly weak also. My

right

hand shakes like a leaf.

He said my myocloic jerks have progressed and I have sound myoclonus. When

he claps his hands I have myoclonic jerks. I knew I jumped out of my skin

with sharp or loud sounds..

He is uping my depakote to 1500 mg daily and adding neurontin. still on the

tegretol...

He got me back into hte neurosurgeon and is ordering another round of spinal

MRI's. I just did them in dec, March and august..Im sick of them. He is

worried that lesion in my spine has gotten worse ...he never does the brain

though..weird huh?

I go to the neurosurgeon today...well see what he thins....
