Guest guest
Hi, My older son was born with a ASD(NOT AUTISM SPECTRUM< ATRIAL SEPTAL DEFECT) for you and me that means he was born with a HOLE IN HIS HEART! Many times this does not show up at birth, many times PEDS. Miss this, many times it is said to be a HEART MURMUR! Please if your child has even ONE symptom that is related to his heart, you owe it to him and yourself to see a REAL CARDIOLOGIST! NOT A PED. I realize that it's ONE more doctors appointment. BUT it might just be the best thing you ever did.(This doesn't have to be open heart surgery any more, they go up through a vein in the Childs leg, amazing) Wish that option was open for my son at the time. ONE of my sons symptoms he showed later, not at first was failure to thrive. Boy that being skinny symptom sure looks a lot like my son with the other ASD(AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER)PDD???? Man how I hate how ONE symptom can lead to so many things, has us mothers going crazy with worry. I truly wouldn't panic, but I would not ignore it, regardless of what some quack says! If I hadn't have pushed the quack we fired, my older son would be dead from Celiac's Disease(SON with ASD-Heart issue) not (SON with ASD-PDD issue). LOL, sorry that all just struck me as a bit humorous! Seriously any time you question something about your child, have it checked regardless of what your dr. or insurance company says. Take care, Laurie Renke
