Guest guest
Hi all, just wanna let yas know the lung biopsy went well, and I was so glad to pass the bleeding time test, 7 minutes to clot. My surgeon asked my husband Bob if he wanted to stay to watch the biopsy procedure. Needless to say Bob passed, just not his thing. I was under the impression that Doc was going to take one piece of tumor for biopsy, but he took one piece from all four tumors. I was awakened by Bob telling me someone was there to see me, and when i opened my eyes, there was Matts Godmother Anne (Bubby), in the room. What a wonderful suprise as she is like a sister to me. I must say i was in pain, more than i thought i would be in. But by last night it was no more than a nuisances. I also had my Cat Scan for planning today, and that too went well, I was greated by my future radiation nurse, Sheila, and my radiation therapist,, they are very nice. They marked my chest area full of X's, so they know where to hit me with the radiation, I will meet again with them on Wednesday along with Dr. Leahy at the cancer center, to talk about a start date. did explain that i will do radiation first, for about 30 days with weekends off. I will be nasuea's, but the worse side effect will be fatigue, and Dr. Leahy explained Mito to her, and they do expect more fatigue due to the mito. But i look at it this way, i need some good sleep!!! Before i go to the cancer center i will first see my surgeon, who will give us the results of the biopsy (Sheila and ) already know the results, but cannot discuss them with me. I asked them if they knew if i would be doing Chemo still and they told me yes. Well tomorrow will be my bone scan, and all i can do is pray that nothing is found. I will keep yas posted.
