Guest guest
Hi Debbie, I hope I can answer some of your questions. I just had an adenosine stress test a few weeks ago. You are right it does hurt. ( But thankfully it is not very long. I didn't suffer any lasting problems from it. And my test came back OK. I also had an echo. I still have strong pumping action. EF of 70 which is about as good as you can get. I should tell you that I don't have a definate diagnosis of mitochondrial disease yet. However I have complete heart block. (among other problems) I have had a pacer for the past 23 years. I am 100% dependent on it. My grandaughter had cariomyopathy. She didn't have a definite dx of mitochondrial disease either. However they did find mitochondrial proliferation and muscle changes in her heart. Here is a site you might find interesting. It is about coenzyme Q-10 and cardiomyopathy. I wish I had found it earlier. Maybe it could have helped my grandaughter. http://home.tampabay.rr.com/lymecfs/coq10.htm The good thing about the test is that it should give you some answers. Good luck on the test. Joanne
