Can you believe it? I'm gonna pull my hair out!! Jay

finally had a great day, I think the dentist stuff is

out of his system, couldn't tell when meds wore off

today, just a pretty good day. He stayed up

late(after 8), and as always he got his bedtime cereal

snack. His sister and I are having a little bout of

claustrophobia so we are out on our barely heated

porch -pretending its spring, just off the kitchen

playing cards while it snows snows snows, and Jay is

snacking. I come in and what do you suppose he has

absolutely showered all over his rice cereal????

Confectioner sugar!(cornstarch based of coarse) And

he has to go to school tomorrow! I was so happy and

sure he was finally gonna have a good day-week and

they'd beable to see it was the diet not the meds!!!

Corns been taking almost five days to get out of his

system! the whole school week! I am going to try and

hide the digestive enzyme in his peanutbutter and

jelly sandwich. So he gets the second dose in school.

Maybe even make them give him it as a snack around ten

so its in his system!! Without hte enzyme he

regresses to terrible two's, loses bladder control,

and hates himself! i haven't caught an infraction

quite so early before- do you think I should wake him

up to give him enzymes while hes sleeping? they only

seem to last about 4 hours. If I don't it may be too

late in the morning as they will have had time to seep

out of the gut in the middle of the night. This is

getting exhausting. The whole year we never had so

many infractions as I have had in the last month. I

told him in sheer exasperation to ask me before he

eats ANYTHING!!!!!!- he so knew he wasn't supposed to

put confectioner sugar on his cereal- even before he

was reacting to corn it was not allowed!! And right

under my nose!! I wasnt 5 feet away!

I wonder what time he eats in school, probably not

early enough for the enzyme to not have worn off- when

I picked him up at noon on thursday he hadnt had lunch

but he was in the planning room and had been there for

over an hour and a half just flopping around like a

fish and making crazy noises and chanting mean little

things about his 2 classmates. They said he'd broke a

window. So far no notice of suspension, maybe it

helped that I had just mentioned to the CSE chair that

I knew his last suspension was illegal that morning!

I know -I'll say I want him to start eating a small

snack at 10:30 when he takes his meds at the nurses

office. He seems to develop behaviors out of hunger

anyway because he just doesnt say I'm hungry- and the

enzyme also is supposed to help digest the little bit

of milk in the meds so that would be the best time! I

made little peanut butter cracker/cookies things they

taste like a sorta shortbread, I thought I might put

the enzyme in peanut butter sandwiched the cookies

together. I only have the doctors note for the pepcid

ac- which has the corn (argh no more corn!!!) and I

can only imagine how much the doctor is gonna have to

think about giveing me a prescription for Jay to take

the healthfood version at school -it took a week to

get permission for the pepcid. I'm sure he cant

research the health food version in his medical

journals! It seems like it aught ot be a no-brainer

but I just know it wont be, nothing has this month.

Cross your fingers for me!!

I hav
