Guest guest
, Congratulations to ! What a wonderful thing. You must be very proud of him. I am sure he will do a wonderful job! And Kira! What a great idea for a service project. If you don't mind I might keep that one in mind for one of our grandkids. So far two are in Boy Scouts and they are always looking for service projects. Congratualtions to Kira as well! Where in California are you located? I grew up in Riverside and the places you mentioned sound way too familiar. We are hoping that through Mito will be spread to the general public just a little more. As for Kira, she is really struggling still. I have been kept very busy tending to her needs and trying to survive the holidays. I am truly grateful that the holidays are over for sure! Kira did get to deliver her socks she collected, over 750 pairs to the children's hospital Los Angeles, Loma ER and 500 units and Redlands community hospital ER and Peds floor, all places she has been a patient at several times in her life. This was her girl Scout silver award project. She called it " Sock It To Sadness " She loves getting a new pair of socks when she is in the hospital. She says it makes her feel better. So she set up Sock it to Sadness and wanted to bring smiles to as many sick kids as she can. Unfortunately she got sick in the middle of her project, but her brother stepped up to the plate and continued the collection for her. She will be doing another collection in the spring, and has a friend across country who is interested in doing a Sock It to Sadness in her area. Her little sister has Mito. Any ways just wanted to share some fun news and tell everyone Happy New Year. I haven't been posting much due to Kira, but I am trying to read as much as I can on and off. Oh did the books ever go out for Mito Memoirs does any one know and how is Ann doing? Thanks, O
