Guest guest
((Karima)))) ouchie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! have you tried any type of salve? I know it may sound odd but there is something called Butt Paste out there (i think name brand is Buddhas) and it REALLY works on baby rashes so perhaps you could try some of this? Also what about using baby wipes instead of toilet paper?? I am a huge baby with diaper rash and no mommy.>>>> Well, I've been dealing with this for one year now and it is miserable. the best advice I ever got was from my pharmacist. She said to keep a pan of water and a soft cloth by the stool. Each time you use the toilet, just " dab " with the paper (danged paper will rub you raw if you rub), then place yourself over the pan and pat yourself clean with the water. Then a soft towel to " pat " yourself dry. It works. You will notice a difference within one days' time. Now, the perfect little gadget would be a bidette, but here in America you just don't find them unless they are specially installed. I also have a prescription numbing cream that I use if things really get bad. Right after my resection, I had to use it two or three times a day. Now I only use it maybe once a month. Depends and 100 degree weather do not mix well. I wish the Depends company would make a style for women only. We do not need all that extra padding to hold in heat in " the front " . As a matter of fact, I wish they made a style that was specially for diarrhea problems....like maybe a little deeper " holding pond " placed in a strategic place???? Oh well, we just make do with what we have I guess. Wishing you a quick healing!! nancy j ---------- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. Guest guest
It is called Beaudreaus or Boodrows (sounds like) butt paste. I think the Desitin might work better. Both are good though. Are you taking an anti diarrhea meds? What are you eating? Eat some bananas, baked pototo, oatmeal. I get the cottenelle wipes, they are usually sold right near the tp and they are flushable too, baby wipes aren't. Might just let it all hang out for a bit to get some air and to help it heal.... Good luck hon - I know it isn't pleasant. Hugs Jolene >
Guest guest
For cleansing baby wipes work but are not flushable. What the Middle Easterners (read Israel and points east) use is those long necked watering cans. The neck can be positioned properly for cleansing and the water can be warm or slightly cold whatever makes you feel better. Kind of soothing like a sitz. Then just a dab of paper and you are good to go. Narice
Guest guest
I am doing baby wipes and Desinex. I know this will pass eventually. I get so tired from it, I slept all day today. Oh well, guess that is why I have rosie cheeks (face cheeks, that is--) Buddha's Butt Paste? I'll go look for it. Thanks. Guest guest
Thanks , what I have been doing since I am fortunate enough to have two showers is turn the shower on and then jump in for a little " washa, washa, washa, " . So you think it is related to what I'm eating???? I am going to the surgeon tomorrow so maybe he can prescribe a numbing cream. Guest guest
I know hon... Is no fun. I slipped over from the constipated mode to diarrhea mode - so have sitting on thrown contemplating whatever comes in to my mind while I am there. Am thoroughly whoozed today, been sleeping alot and trying to read but nothing that will hold my interest for very long. Had a couple books picked out yesterday but had to put them back, didn't have enough Cash and can't write a check right now. Only few more days to pay day. Oh well still won't have any money lol... Hope the oatmeal works, boiled or baked potatoes does too... Whatever will stop you up just a bit to make it controllable. Jolene
Guest guest
Thanks Narice, I am using my shower more and more and it is very soothing. These posts have been good for being careful with the toilet paper which is actually wood. Yuck. Karima Re: Karima For cleansing baby wipes work but are not flushable.
