Guest guest
Now I'm already going to ask you to share with me.... can you tell me what the spot on your eye looks like that is cancerous?? How were you diagnosed?? I have several sebaceous cysts... and I know you should get these checked once in a while. This must be very scary for you and we'll be here for you!! I noticed a little bump on my eyelid and in fact I removed two. They at the time looked like little chalazions and that is what I thought they were. Well one grew back and noticed these little-yellowish bumps inside the eyelid. I went to a dermatologist because I had a small lesion on my arm. She did a biopsy and said it was nothing. As I was leaving her office I asked her what she thought of my eye. She immediately diagnosed it as basal cell carcinoma. Somehow I did not believe her. I believe it was like from the Lord. I have had BCC twice before on my left hand side and right hand side of my face. I researched and found an occular specialist - he reconstructs the eyelid and he diagnosed it as sebaceous cell. He had his partner come in and he agreed with him. They work with a cancer surgeon-dermatologist coincidentally the ones who removed my first two cancers. Two weeks from today the surgeon will remove the cancer and then the following day I will have reconstructive surgery. Having reconstructive surgery is controversial as some people feel you should wait but these physicians say do it right away. Any more questions, don't hesitate to ask. Also, immediately see your physician as this is an aggressive disease which can metastasize. Bonnie Donelle Caregiver to Glenn
