Guest guest
You poor guy! No fun and it's like being trapped when you are up in the wild blue yonder but hey you tried. What kind of LOA or disability plans does the airline have? Is there some kind of part-time arrangement you could do on your off weeks? I'm praying for blue skies and better days ahead. Guest guest
The flight itself was uneventful, but boy my body was not being user friendly. I have talked to other crew members with cancer and have found that no one has ever attempted to fly while on chemo. And so, I am going to start petitioning some agency's to see if they can help me financially while I fight the effects of chemo. On another note... the smells in the oncology center ... it used to smell so nice and clean, and now I swear I can smell 5FU, and I want to just barf. Jay Re: Re: JAY/disconnecting technician!!! Guest guest
Hi Jay, You are going thru " it " aren't you? You taste buds and sense of smell are affected while on chemo. I found that slices of lime helped the taste buds, but smells are hard to overcome....That 5FU and Oxipilatin are rough. Almost everything I drank tasted like gasoline would taste, so I thought. I also wish you luck on the financial end. Take care, Carolyn Celebrating a month free of treatment!!! Re: Re: JAY/disconnecting technician!!! In a message dated 6/28/2005 2:52:19 P.M.
