The drug only has a number, not a name. It is CX-3543 developed by

Cylene Pharmaceuticals, a new company created to market this line of

drugs. You need to have a degree in genetics to understand the stuff

on their web site, but in a nut shell, they think they have found a

way to turn off the master oncogene that makes cells cancerous.

If thing go according to schedule I will be the second person in the

trial. It is a phase one trial to determine Maximum Tolerable Dose

(MTD) and Dose Limiting Toxicity (DLT). Of course, we'll also be

checking to see if it actually works .

One good thing, there will be one person ahead of me by two weeks,

so I will have a warning in case something bad happens. But, nothing

will go wrong .. go wrong .. go wrong.
