Guest guest
Since I know some of you and your caregivers have heart problems thought this may be useful. Narice June 24, 2005 -- A new test may help doctors spot patients who are in immediate danger of suffering a major heart attack. The FDA recently approved the CardioMPO kit for use in combination with other factors to determine which people complaining of chest pain are in imminent danger of having a heart attack. " One of the most common yet challenging situations in an emergency room or physician office is triaging a patient complaining of chest pain or discomfort, " says Marc Penn, MD, PhD, in a news release. " In these cases, physicians must quickly identify who is at risk of suffering a heart attack or in need of more aggressive intervention, " says Penn who is the medical director of the coronary intensive care unit at The Cleveland Clinic, where the test was developed. " The CardioMPO test will provide physicians more accurate identification of patients at risk. " The blood test measures the level of a protein called myeloperoxidase (MPO) that is produced in infection-fighting white blood cells. In addition, the protein is found in clogged areas of heart arteries _the protein is found in clogged areas of heart arteries_ (http://aolsvc.health.webmd.aol.com/content/article/75/89874.htm) that are vulnerable to rupture -- thus causing a heart attack. Elevated levels of this protein in people with chest pain or discomfort signals a short-term risk of heart attack or need for surgery to restore normal blood flow to the heart, such as bypass surgery or angioplasty. High levels of this protein are also associated with an increased risk of heart-related death within months of the test. In a study of 604 people with chest pain, reported by WebMD, the test accurately predicted who was likely to suffer a heart attack. Researchers say the heart attack test will be available to doctors in
Guest guest
Isn't Wal-Mart under the family leave act? I love Wal-Mart. Almost everyone there is so nice. They have a lot of reason to moan groan and cop an attitude but they rarely do. As for the way she is treated that's not JUST Wal-Mart that's RETAIL. I got the same treatment at K-Mart and places in the mall. It's all about making a buck! Hope you and your daughter are well and able to spend the holiday together. Guest guest
Yeah he was not his old man that is for sure. Sure don't buy American anymore. I bought colored wash clothes awhile back, and they all faded. I used a rosey colored rag and thought I was bleeding... LOL... Had to wash them all out. Then bought the kitchen towels in a bundle (blue n white and brown n white) and the brown n white rags. A little bleach those and they become white towels. Not even ensuring they are color safe. What if someone was allergic to the dye in those rags that faded. Well he made enough money he could enjoy his toys, -- for awhile anyway. My son in law likes the ultra light planes too, but thank goodness he is too heavy for them now.. Too heavy to sky dive as well -- so he is taking regular flight lessons. Just about done. Walmart has changed alot since Laurie first started working at the distribution center... It was good place then, is NOT now. The guy in charge has been there toooo long and he is letting the alcoholic slide and not do her job.. No one wants to work with her at all, when she is there, they call in sick sometimes. LOL.. You would think they would take care of business. Oh well.. I am sure I could run things better, I am such an expert on things. LOL Cheers JOlene Dianna Brendle wrote: > Yeah and when Sam Walton's son died a few days ago in small plane > crash, they said he was one of the richest men in the world, makes you > sick that they are that rich and work normal people to death. ~Dianna >
