Guest guest
Sorry Jay...this from the peanut gallery...you should not be doing this. Egad. Karima Re: Re: JAY/disconnecting technician!!! You poor guy! No fun and it's like being trapped when you are up in the wild blue yonder but hey you tried. What kind of LOA or disability plans does the airline have? Is there some kind of part-time arrangement you could do on your off weeks? I'm praying for blue skies and better days ahead. Guest guest
Jay, your comment about the smells make me laugh. I know just what you mean. Not that I've ever smelled 5-FU, but I am familiar with other smells from sicknesses and the hospital that just put me into a place that I never want to be in again. Hang in there, the miracles will happen if you look! Cliff H. > The flight itself was uneventful, but boy my body was not being user friendly. I have talked to other crew members with cancer and have found that no one has ever attempted to fly while on chemo. And so, I am going to start petitioning some agency's to see if they can help me financially while I fight the effects of chemo. > > On another note... the smells in the oncology center ... it used to smell so nice and clean, and now I swear I can smell 5FU, and I want to just barf. > > Jay > Re: Re: JAY/disconnecting technician!!! > > > > In a message dated 6/28/2005 2:52:19 P.M. Guest guest
I have exhausted all of my sick pay, and so I am petitioning some organizations to see if I can at least warrant not working for a few months until I get this chemo out of my system. I have lost 10 pounds already, because nothing taste right. And it hurts my jaws to even eat. I am trying so hard to drink water, but even that hurts. I am tired, but cannot sleep. I tried Ativan last night, and it only made me stoned. Ended up reading the book of Luke last night... offered some peace, but my mind was still wide awake. I will go try the lime... wish it was with a margarita though! ;-) Re: Re: JAY/disconnecting technician!!! You poor guy! Guest guest
Talking about smells. Must be something to it as our head Onc nurse wears a gas mask now, to prevent her from inhaling fumes of the drugs. She also wears heavy duty gloves and very careful... She has had diarrhea too many times and was tired of it, said she lost some of her hair once already.. So our nurse know what we are going through getting chemo... Guest guest
Absolutely, my Onc nurse will vouch for that. Jolene Dianna Brendle wrote: > The NURSE has effects from chemo?
