Glenn has had lower abdomen pain almost every day at some time or another since his surgery. Some say it's from the Cancer itself and some say from the chemo. Now, after 2 yrs. since colon resection, they have found some " colitis " . Glenn scheduled for Sigmoidoscopy next week. Go figure!! Sometimes the xtra strength Gas-X helps and sometimes it doesn't. We can't figure any of this out... Lots of hugs and prayers, Donelle Caregiver to Glenn
Guest guest
Very likely chemo. There are 2 ways to find out endoscopy or Ct scan. For this I would go with the endoscopy. Guest guest
Narice, Thank you ever so much. goes in again tomorrow for another round (2nd of 12) of chemo. Unfortunately I won't be able to attend with her this time (daughter will be with her) so I have made her promise, as she doesn't like to complain or tell you when something is wrong, that she will tell the doctor or ocn nurses her ills. She also said that she has had a pain just above her neck since the chemo started. Not quite a headache, but a pain never-the-less. Dan > > > Very likely chemo. Guest guest
Donelle, Thank you for your information. has reassured me that when she goes in tomorrow for her 2nd round of chemo that before the prick her with one needle she will talk to them about her pains. I'll let her know about the Gas-X. Dan > > In a message dated 7/5/2005 10:09:02 PM Eastern Standard Time, > daniel111@c... writes: > > Hi Everyone, > > I just had a question. Guest guest
I don't think you have to worry that 's pains are as serious as what Glenn in experiencing. Poor guy has gone through so much already.. The neck pain could be the caused from the way she is sitting in her chair during chemo. Head pain, hard to say. Ask them and them and what she can take. Headache, even almost one's can come on anytime. I have sinus problems associatied with Texas type allergies so even though I take allegra and Flonase still get head ache now and then. Tylenol helps a bit - but is NOT my pain drug of choice. I like Excedrin best for headaches, but it is aspirin. I like it for its caffeine as well. Now I just use NO DOZ when driving to Austin. Don't need it all the time, just now and then. Going to Austin tonight for Celtic Association meeting. I am sure will be fine. One way to make sure she asks doc, is to have them written down and then she can just hand them the list and they will go from there. Or give them to daughter to give to doc. I want daughter Laurie to go to doc with me next week, she will ask questions that I could forget... So I guess I have to write them down. LOL... Take care She will be fine.
