Guest guest
Jay, great story on the Livestrong site. Thanks for sharing. I passed out too. I was at a business meeting in Chicago with prospects. Good news is we closed the business. Sales said they were going to " use me " in the future as the big closer. Not funny but that is how I ended up in the hospital, like you, cocky that I had to catch a flight out the next day and they needed to hurry and get me out of there! 3 days later they found the bleeding mass in my colon and wanted to do surgery right then. I did check myself out to come home and have it done. It has taken all of this to make me realize that work is not my #1 priority, I need to be my priorty along with my daughter! I have been behind on reading and writing but saw you cannot sleep. I bought this stuff called " Natural Calm " from the health food grocery store. It is magnesium. I swear by it now to sleep. Cannot tell you how long I have not slept through the night. Would wake up every hour or 2. Now even when I wake up to hit the bathroom, I can go back to sleep. It's a good sleep and I don't wake up groggy. I had been using the tylenol PM but 2 didn't do shit for me. See if you can find this stuff. And, what is the brand name of the ginger tea you use? Just to let everyone know, Thursday will complete my second treatment. I think I feel a bit guilty that I haven't had any real problems. I little sick on Wed of my 1st treatment, a little sick today during infusion but they stuck some anti- naseau stuff in my line. I have read from some of you that the first few treatments are easy and then downhill after that. I did feel the oxy tingles much more this go around. In fact, could not drink cold stuff at all on Tuesday! Had to wear the gloves to rearrange my freezer! So tomorrow could be my sick day! Tired already of lugging this darn pump around. 10 nore treatments to go!!!!!!! Dan, read your post about 's pain. I had my tumor removed from top of colon end of April. Had pains through mid of June and have one every now and then. When I talked to doc and nurse they said it would take awhile for everything " inside " to heal. TALK to your doctor...you are paying big bucks and need answers. Hugs to all. I have lost 10 pounds already, because nothing taste right. And it hurts my jaws to even eat. I am trying so hard to drink water, but even that hurts. I am tired, but cannot sleep. I tried Ativan last night, and it only made me stoned. Ended up reading the book of Luke last night... offered some peace, but my mind was still wide awake. I will go try the lime... wish it was with a margarita though! ;-) Re: Re: JAY/disconnecting technician!!! You poor guy! No fun and it's like being trapped when you are up in the wild blue yonder but hey you tried. What kind of LOA or disability plans does the airline have? Is there some kind of part-time arrangement you could do on your off weeks? I'm praying for blue skies and better days ahead.
