Re: CT Scan results odd -- would like opinions!

I would try not to get too excited either way about the results. I

think every one of my CT or PET scans has shown something that should

not be there. This is probably why they don't recommend that you get

a full body scan without a reason. There are too many false positives

to trust it.

I'm not saying that your scan showed a false positive. I just think

that you and the Doc need to see some other supporting evidence that

this is indeed what's happening. If your CEA was still up then that

would be an indication of what's going on.

I don't think that it can't happen the way you described the tumor

growth. One tumor could be mutated differently from the rest of

them. The tumors that are going away are effected by the chemo you

are doing but the other isn't due to the mutation. Cancer is like

that which is why it's such a difficult disease to treat.

Again, I'm no doctor so my opinions are just opinions. Any other

ideas out there?

Thanks! I appreciate your thoughts. It is just weird that I've always

had all my tumors grow or diminish in unison. I think the tumor that

is growing is near the gall bladder and might have something to do

with that (I had gall stones but got rid of them with supplements and

watching fat intake...) wonder if that was the right tack to take...

anyway, cancer is unpredictable. The bottom line is that I feel pretty

good despite it all.
