Guest guest
TK--- dark red to tarry black stool can be a sign on a gi ulcer bleeding. Unless you have just eaten something very different that may account for the coloring and texture. If it continues or you start to get dizzy easily or history of ulcers go to your Gi specialist. > > over the last 8 months I have been passing what i can only describe > as chunks of slime (sort of like pond scum, dark and brownish/red, > about the texture of jello, but thinner, sorry I know this is gross ) > I have a real burning sensation when it passes. > > Many times this seems to bring on increased bad symptoms. this time > its my nerves, anxiety, dark thoughs, increased feeling of being > stressed, slight burning on mouth/lips and tongue, just loopy in the > head... Guest guest
Thanks Tk and Its more of a slime than stool or solids, sort of jelly like I don't think its red as from blood, more of a pinkish, filmy stuff. Thats why I am thinking it must be a yeast/fungus. They say yeast and fungus give off neurotoxins?? and I know something seems to mess up my head in relation to this stuff being expelled or moved around Diet has been pretty much the same. I haven't eaten anything different lately... I don't have any particular stomach pain. I would take it to a lab but my experience with labs are that most are pretty lame even the good ones. > > > TK--- dark red to tarry black stool can be a sign on a gi ulcer > bleeding. Guest guest
Pinkish can still be blood, maybe diluted with mucus. If you haven't at least done a hemoccult test, which is very easy and cheap, you should get one from your doctor on Monday. Describe what you observed in your stool - you probably won't even have to ask for the hemoccult, they will offer it. They may also suggest a GI workup. A GI referral and a proper GI workup is a good idea. The longer your gut problems have been going on, the more important it is to do it. Some things do require dealing with doctors. -- > > > > > > TK--- dark red to tarry black stool can be a sign on a gi ulcer > > bleeding.
