I just got the results for my Porphyrins test. I have no clue how to

interpret it. Could I please get help with this? This was not with 24

hour urine sample but first urine in the morning. That is what this

lab uses - (in Paris).

Urinary Creatinine : 276 mg/l

The titles/headings given by them for the values next to each item

are: nmol/l, nmol/gCr, %, reference, interpretation

Uroporphyrins I &III (UP) 8 29 8.7% 8-20 Slighltly increased

rate

Heptacarboxy porphyrin (7cxP) 1,8 6,4 2.0% 2,5-4,5 Slighltly increased

rate

Hexacarboxy porphyrin (6cxP) 0,4 1,4 0.4% 0,5-1,5 Average Rate

Pentacarboxy porphyrin (5cxP) 1,0 6,9 1.1% 2-4 Increased rate

Precoproporphyrin (PrCP) 3,0 10,0 3.3% 5-9 Slighltly

increased rate

Coproporphyrins I & III (cP) 78 284 87.4% 70-140 strongly increased

rate

PrCP/UP PrecoP/Uro ratio 0,36 0,2-0,5

PrCP/CP PrecoP/COP ratio 4 % 2-6

CP / UP copro/uro ratio 9,80 5-9

Interpretation

Average porphyrinuria with well-balanced pattern
