Guest guest
Recently my thyroid was tested and the result was 2.6 in a reference range of 1.8-4.4. My doctor told me that he felt it was low and that he would like to see it around 3.1. He gave me thyroid pills to take but I was afraid that once you start taking them you have to take them for the rest of your life. I have tested high for Mercury and am starting chelation but I have read that the thyroid and adrenals need support. My Cortisol levels were tested and seem to be in the normal range...although, I do have a liquid formula from Bovine for adrenal support that I could take. My testosterone level was <20.0 in a reference range of <15-80. The doc told me this was low but offered nothing for support. I have started taking DHEA (10mg) daily and seem to do well with it. Can someone give me some feedback regarding these issues? kat

If your thyroid function is not optimal, taking thyroid hormones can help you feel a LOT better and will improve your general health. The goal of chelation is to heal your body, including your thyroid, so that you no longer need all the supplements and medications, including thyroid hormones. There is no guarantee and it will depend on how badly the thyroid has been damaged by mercury. > I have tested high for Mercury and am starting chelation but I have read that the thyroid > and adrenals need support. Thyroid hormones can make a big difference in how you feel and in your general health. I encourage you to get some thyroid support. Adrenals should be supported if necessary first. --
