I should start my clinical trial on the 25th of this month. The schedule isn't much fun, but the possibility of some advance in cancer treatment is worth it. I live just north of Austin, TX and I'll have to drive to San (2 hours) on Sunday eve. Monday I go into the Cancer Treatment and Research Center which is affiliated with the University of Texas at San . I will get an infusion of the new drug CX-3453 and then have blood samples drawn every hour for fourteen (14!) hours. What fun! Then I come in each day for an infusion in the morning and have the rest of the day off. On Friday I have the 14-hour routine again; followed by 2 weeks off. If I understand the status, I will be the 2nd human to receive this drug (maybe the first if the other patient can't make it next week). I hope you can find a clinical trial in your area that offers some chance of attacking your cancer. I consider myself really lucky living within driving distance from the largest clinical trial center in the US. Keep fighting, it's worth it. -joe- We are ALL routing for you Joe!!! And praying, as well!!! Lots of hugs and prayers, Donelle Caregiver to Glenn
